چکیده
Abstract We investigate a one-dimensional restriction of nonlinear model thermo-electroelasticity in extended thermodynamics and the quasi-electrostatic regime (see Ghaleb et al. Int J Eng Sci 119:29–39, 2017. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijengsci.2017.06.010 ). An additional dependence thermal conductivity relaxation time on temperature heat flux is introduced. The aim present work to assess effect some quadratic couplings between mechanical, electric fields. Such are known have crucial stability solutions. It confirmed that there two speeds wave propagation disturbances, coupled thermoelastic wave. Thermo-Electric Properties of One-Dimensional Constrictions
This thesis describes low-temperature transport measurements in low-dimensional systems fabricated in high-mobility GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructures. These lowdimensional systems are formed by electrostatically constricting the electrons in the two-dimensional electron gas at the interface of the heterostructure, by applying a voltage to a pair of metallic gates known as a split-gate. At low temper...
متن کاملNonlinear Multigrid Applied to a One-Dimensional Stationary Semiconductor Model
The nonlinear multigrid method is applied to a transistor problem in one dimension. A weak spot in the linearization of the well-known ScharfetterGummel discretization scheme is reported. Further it is shown that both the residual transfer and the solution transfer from a ne to a coarse grid need special requirements due to the rapidly varying problem coe cients. Some modi cations are proposed ...
متن کاملA one-dimensional thermo-fluid model of blood circulation in the human upper limb
Blood circulation is considered to play an important role in heat transfer between living tissues, particularly, in peripheral vessels wherein the temperature is, generally, closely related with blood flow rate. The aim of this paper is to study the influence of blood flow rate on body temperature by means of a one-dimensional thermo-fluid model. This model has been recently developed for the c...
متن کاملExponential decay in one-dimensional porous-thermo-elasticity
This paper concerns the one dimensional problem of the porous-thermo-elasticity. Two kinds of dissipation process are considered: the viscosity type in the porous structure and the thermal dissipation. It is known that when only thermal damping is considered or when only porous damping is considered we have the slow decay of the solutions. Here we prove that when both kinds of dissipation terms...
متن کاملNonlinear electroelasticity: material properties, continuum theory and applications.
In the last few years, it has been recognized that the large deformation capacity of elastomeric materials that are sensitive to electric fields can be harnessed for use in transducer devices such as actuators and sensors. This has led to the reassessment of the mathematical theory that is needed for the description of the electromechanical (in particular, electroelastic) interactions for purpo...
